RD-8040-1 and RD-8041-1 Dampers
Description
LORD RD-8040-1 (short stroke) and RD-8041-1 (longstroke) dampers are compact, magneto-rheological (MR)
fl uid dampers suitable for industrial suspension applica-tions. Continuously variable damping is controlled by the
increase in yield strength of the MR fl uid in response tomagnetic fi eld strength.
Features and Benefi ts Fast Response Time – responds in less than 15 millisec-
onds to changes in the magnetic fi eld.
Easy to Use – provides simple electronics and straight forward controls.
Durable – provides excellent long term stability.
StorageDampers should be stored at -40 to +100°C (-40 to+212°F).
The RD-8040-1 and RD-8041-1 dampers are monotube shocks containing high-pressure nitrogen gas (300 psi).
Handle with care and do not heat or puncture body
